Briki stirrer for properly mixing coffee, water and sugar when making Greek coffee, at home or on the bar.
A coffee stirrer for the briki, the small pot used for Greek coffee: a simple but essential tool. You use it to mix the coffee with water and sugar in the briki before brewing, so they dissolve properly and a rich foam (kaimaki) forms. It is ideal for professional use in cafés and bars serving Greek coffee every day, as well as at home.
Put cold water, the coffee and, if you like, sugar into the briki. Stir well with the stirrer until dissolved, before placing the briki on the heat. Then let the coffee brew over low heat without stirring again, so the foam is not broken, and take it off as soon as it rises.
Rinse the stirrer straight after use so coffee and sugar do not dry on it, then dry it.
