Most Colombian coffee, especially from the southern growing regions of Popayán, comes from small family farms. Popayán has a rich coffee-producing history, but only recently has it become one of the most sought-after coffee regions in the world. Colombia boasts a diverse range of growing areas stretching from north to south along the “Cordilleras,” the mountain ranges that form the northern extensions of the Andes.
